Lamp House Music and ELjam (East Lothian Youth Music Forum) are offering free rehearsal sessions and music mentoring programme for ten lucky young musicians from East Lothian this Christmas and New Year holidays.

The successful applicants will receive 18 hours of free rehearsal time combined with 6 hours of tailored mentoring sessions providing advice and guidance from professionals working in the music industry in instrumentation and music related activities such as PR & Marketing, Sound Production and Live Performance.

The programme is open to bands and solo musicians living in East Lothian, under the age of 25, and is being organised by and delivered Lamp House Music, Haddington, supported by funding from ELjam.

Iain Bruce (East Lothian Strategic Music Partnership Co-ordinator) of ELjam said,

“This is an innovative, high-quality project which ELjam is very proud to support; One which works closely with the individual participants to advance the skills that are most relevant to them. I hope it is a great success and that the artists involved emerge with aspirations raised and an improved understanding of what it takes to progress in the industry.”

The programme runs for ten days from Thursday 27th December through to Monday 7th January and will be held in Lamp House Music, Haddington.
