June Update

We are really grateful to those pupils who, since our closure due to Covid-19 mid-March, have continued with their music lessons online. Thank you too for all the messages and kind words of support from customers, pupils, parents and those in our community as well as those generous souls who have ‘gifted’ us lessons by way of financial support.

We have been so pleased with the feedback from pupils and parents about online lessons – not only furthering pupils’ progress but also providing structure, consistency, continuity and security at this difficult time.  We also hear that pupils are happy to see a friendly, familiar face, out-with their family, each week, courtesy of our fab team of tutors.

For those who have not yet tried online lessons, it’s not too late!  We have just started week one of Block 3 and I’m delighted to say that we are extending our Summer Term by four weeks, and will be offering an additional block of lessons – Block 4 – to all pupils, running Mon 29 June to Sun 26 July inclusive – so at the moment, there are still 7/8 weeks in which you can take lessons!  All of our tutor team are keen to continue and since none of us can enjoy the ‘summer holidays’ in quite our usual way – we hope pupils will be happy too!

I hope that face to face lessons will resume in the Autumn Term, commencing Monday 24 August, with social distancing measures in place to ensure that all pupils, teachers and admin staff stay safe.  Further information will be issued to all pupils and parents in July. If you are interested in starting music lessons at Lamp House Music, you are welcome to register for Autumn Term at any time.

Thank you again for all those who have shown their support for our lovely wee Music School. Please get in touch if you would like to try our online music lessons, otherwise I really hope that circumstances will allow us to see everyone back at The Lamp House in a few months’ time and to welcome lots of new faces then too!
