‘Moving on Up’ project announced!

‘Moving on Up’ – Free Music Schools for P7s – Announced

We are very excited to let you know that Lamp House Music, supported by Creative Scotland, will offer free Music Schools this summer as part of our project, ‘Moving on Up’.

‘Moving on Up’ is aimed at Primary 7s who are making the move from primary to secondary school after the summer holidays.

Young people will spend a week during their summer holidays in Lamp House Music’s professional rehearsal and recording studios where they will form a band, write, rehearse and record their own original song and then perform in a live music venue to an audience of family, friends and fellow pupils.

There are three free weeks to choose from, no music experience is required but applicants must be going into S1 at and East Lothian high school.

Application is by a short online form, the deadline for which is 7pm on Friday 22nd May 2015.
